Radon mitigation installation

What we install

Most homes in Central Illinois lower radon with a custom ASD system: a sealed suction path, properly sized fan, and discharge above the roofline so soil gas is drawn away from living space instead of leaking in through cracks. Most installation projects cluster in Macon, McLean, and Champaign counties, with routing tailored to each property.

Slab, drain tile, sump, crawlspace, or a mix—we plan pipe runs, penetrations, and exterior terminations before we cut concrete or hang a fan.

How we approach each install

Six pillars—from diagnostics to handoff—that keep soil gas control predictable and code-aligned.

  • Diagnostics & suction point

We locate the best suction source—slab, perimeter drain, sump crock, or sealed crawlspace membrane—before committing to a layout that has to live on your property for years.

  • Slab & perimeter sealing

Major gaps and short circuits get addressed so depressurization pulls from the soil gas zone—not from a utility chase or an untapped crawlspace edge.

  • Piping & envelope penetrations

PVC runs, supports, fireblocking where required, and clean transitions through the shell—planned for service access and minimal visual impact when routing allows.

  • Fan selection & mounting

Fans are sized to the suction field and static pressure targets—not oversized noise makers—with mounting that stays maintainable and weather-tight.

  • Discharge, labeling & safety

Discharge above the roofline, away from operable openings, with system labeling and a manometer or equivalent indicator so you can see performance day to day.

  • Verification & handoff

Walkthrough of what changed, what to watch for, and how post-mitigation testing fits your closing or health goals—plus coordination when crawlspace work is part of the same plan.
